HELIOPLATE®.HD: A new substrate for reliable in vitro evaluation....

At present time, PMMA is internationally accepted as a substrate for in vitro measurement. Besides, it’s the proposed substrate of the recent UVA COLIPA’s method. As previously with Transpore, proposed by B. After a several years research,  HelioScreen Labs proposed a new substratum for the implementation of  in vitro evaluation  methods of  sun products: HELIOPLATE HD.

HelioScreen Labs had already been a pioneer by proposing Helioplates to the market, PMMA plates  roughened through a sandblasting process. Is the improvement of interface properties Plate/Product, a key for SPF evaluation…?

As in much of other fields of evaluation, the In Vitro methods for the control of the effectiveness of the solar products have to substitute the In Vivo ones for ethical and any other reasons. Additionally, They would be also sometimes, no other choice to go towards In Vitro evaluation due to the evolution of the products and/or new requirements for further controls which could be inaccessible by In Vivo methods (i.e photostability / Critical Wavelength..)...
